Our Mission

Make the golden years of the seniors of Indian origin enjoyable, rewarding, and fulfilling.

Be the preferred platform for seniors of Indian origin residing in or visiting the Portland area to connect with each other, enjoy their company, build lasting friendships, and pursue hobbies and interests.

General Guidelines

  • Alleviate loneliness often experienced by empty-nesters.
  • Help seniors stay active with community involvement.
  • Raise awareness of issues related to senior living in the region and collaborate to find solutions.
  • Inform seniors about services available from federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Share experiences with local service providers.
  • Advocate for government and non-government agencies to develop programs supporting senior needs and services.
  • Organize and recommend workshops and seminars related to senior living.

 

Association of Seniors of Indian Origin (ASIO) is an association established in August 2020 by Oregon Venture Advancement Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity.
