As 2025 draws to a close, we take a moment to reflect on a year enriched by progress, engagement, and shared experiences. The Association of Seniors of Indian Origin (ASIO) Board sincerely thanks our members and community for their continued trust and support. Food Drive in November:
Thanks to all members who brought food items to donate. All the items were donated (About 200 pounds) to the Oregon Food Bank.

Topic2: Silk, the Queen of Textiles
Speaker: Dr. Ramakant Upadhyay
India is the second largest producer of silk in the world. Join us and learn a little bit about this beautiful fabric.

- Zumba class lead by the founder of Step with Purpose, LLC, Preeti Mani.
- Community movie screening of “Fiddler on the Roof“
- Summer Picnic in June, July and August to Cape Lookout State Park, Rood Bridge Park and Cook Park.

ASIO Inter-generational Book Club
We will discuss “Rough Sleepers” by Tracy Kidder on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 11 AM to noon. Please note that this is also the book chosen by “One Book One Beaverton” event sponsored by Beaverton City Library. There will be opportunities to join other book discussions around the town and to meet the author in the month of Jan – Feb.
